The Systems Engineering & Test Capabilities (SETC) center includes all the engineering disciplines responsible for systems design & test on all Raytheon products. Our engineers are responsible for all elements of the development lifecycles for tests including test requirements, test system design, flight simulations, hardware-in-the-loop, computer-in-the-loop, advanced engineering prototyping technology, flight operations for manned and unmanned vehicles, environmental testing, environmental characterization, and engineering laboratory management. We are hands-on, designing with the latest technology and tools, and integrate state-of-the-art test solutions with the most advanced engineering systems in the world.

Raytheon is seeking a Senior Analyst Support Engineer / Lab Lead to manage and implement environmental test projects, as well as oversee the day-to-day administrative functions of multiple engineering and environmental test labs. This role will focus on ensuring safety, security, and compliance in alignment with established doctrine and governance. You will be creative and innovative, possessing strong organizational, coordination, planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills. In this position, you must be able to collaborate with customers, employees, and senior leaders when implementing process and procedural changes.

This position is an onsite role located in White Sands, NM.

What You Will Do

  • Manage Lab Operating Procedures (LOPs) by providing direction for lab users on established policies.

  • Manage, coordinate, and implement Environmental Health, Safety, and Sustainment programs.

  • Oversee Property & Metrology Management to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.

  • Conduct cost analyses and ensure task completion within approved budgets.

  • Provide process support to Supply Chain Management (SCM).

  • Oversee audit and assessment preparation.

  • Lead Engineering Lab Objective Evaluation and Voluntary Protection Program; develop corrective action plans and long-term objectives aligned with engineering customer goals.

  • Safeguard classified/proprietary materials, hardware, and documentation in compliance with Export Administration Regulations.

  • Develop and implement communication plans; provide consulting support to functional and engineering management.

  • Influence stakeholders within and outside responsible areas regarding policies, practices, and procedures.

  • Work autonomously with limited oversight, offering professional input, guidance, and problem-solving expertise.

  • Perform tasks requiring physical exertion, such as standing, walking, and occasional outdoor work.

  • Travel locally as required, with occasional travel outside the local area.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience

  • Experience working directly with engineers, technicians, and leadership in an engineering lab environment.

  • Mechanical and/or electrical/electronic skills.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with OSHA/NFPA industrial policies and regulations.

  • Experience working directly with engineers, technicians, and leadership in an engineering lab environment in the areas of safety, security, compliance and property management.

  • Experience with EHS, NISPOM, JAFAN and Foreign Object Elimination.

  • Ability to build positive, lasting relationships with customers.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

  • Strong understanding and experience with Metrology and calibrations practices and preparing assets for such.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
