Job description

Overview:

PART TIME position (Monday through Friday 10:30am - 2:30pm) superior attendance record required!

Title: Part-Time Lab Accessioner - Location: Dallas, TX (Addison area)

We are seeking two PART-TIME Accessioner's to work with our onsite lab team. The Accessioner will be responsible for performing clinic sample opening, clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment according to established standard operating procedures

The schedule for this position is: Monday through Friday 10:30am - 2:30pm with some additional hours / weekend / holiday work required, based upon business demands. Please note: we are looking for extremely reliable employees who come to work every day. 

How you will make an impact:
  • Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
  • Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas
  • Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner 
  • Accurately identify and label specimens 
  • Rack specimens to prepare them for processing
  • Meet department activity and production goals
  • Resolve and document any problem specimens
What you need to be successful:
  • Requires: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • No lab experience required; 1+ year of data entry experience, preferred 
  • Previous medical or production experience is a plus
  • Comfortable handling biological specimens 
  • Experience working in a team environment 
  • Strong data entry and organizational skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to lift 40lbs.
  • Ability to pass a standardized color-blind test
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, up to 6 hours or more
  • Open to working evening hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
