Job description

Responsible for providing customer service to Privia Medical Group and THC Providers, nursing and office staff

Supervision Received: Reports to Phlebotomy Supervisor, and Laboratory Medical Director

Supervision Exercised: Works with Phlebotomy, and Processing Supervisors to provide good support for these departments

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Function as liaison between clinics and laboratory, providing excellent service to providers office, patients, and staff
  • Perform in-service with offices and clinics to demonstrate the use of Laboratory Information Systems, test orders, requisitions, and specimen labels,
  • Maintain patient confidentiality
  • Assist Phlebotomy Supervisor, Lab Director and/or billing staff with billing and collection issues
  • Attend clinic(s) staff meetings to address laboratory issues
  • Answer phones at main lab to troubleshoot problems with specimens, orders, and general complaints from offices and/or clinics
  • Checking pending and problems logs on a daily basis to fix issues related to processing, phlebotomy, or reference lab work
  • Deliver supplies when needed at offices and clinics
  • Other duties as assigned by the Phlebotomy Supervisor and Laboratory Director.

Performance Requirements and Experience:

  • High School Diploma
  • Experience in the Healthcare field preferred
  • Customer Service experience preferred
  • 1-2 years experience in a laboratory environment
  • Ability to accurately identify specimens
  • Basic computer and data entry skills
  • Strong communication skills; written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently or within a team environment
  • Well-organized and high-level attention to detail
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time

Salary: $17 to $23 Depending on experience.
