Job Description for Pharmacy Technician Data Entry
Reports To:The position of Pharmacy TechnicianData Entry will report to the Operations Director
Job Overview:The Pharmacy Technician for Data Entry, will need to efficiently manage a large amount of PHI and needs to have an understanding of data confidentiality principles, a fast typist with a keen eye for accuracy to detail. The company will rely on you for entering accurate and updated data that is accessed through our EMR.
Compounding Pharmacy Technician Duties and Responsibilities
- Verifies accuracy of data being entered, makes necessary corrections
- Demonstrates proficiency with following direction
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt with change of workflow
- Follow all company policies and procedures
- Ability to use computers and other office equipment
- Update job knowledge by participating in training opportunities
- Enhance organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
- Properly use, calibrate and maintains equipment needed
- Perform miscellaneous inventory of consumables to ensure proper stock
- Maintain housekeeping standards in the compounding areas
- Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Cleaning of all work areas, including work surfaces, equipment, floors, walls etc.,
Pharmacy Technician Requirements and Qualifications
- 1 year of experience as a certified Pharmacy Technician Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current Texas Pharmacy Technician Certificate CPhT
- Experience with compounding lab or non-sterile compounding lab experience a plus
- Experience with Compounder/PK Software a plus
- Experience with compounding creams, capsules, and troches a plus
- Ability to cope with varied levels of workload and multiple tasks
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills, both orally and written
- Willingness to be a team player and promote a positive team environment
- Excellent attention to detail
- Flexible and proactive to meet varied patient and company needs
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Strong interpersonal and people skills
- Able to read, write, and speak English properly, other languages a plus
- Ability to perform simple pharmaceutical calculations for individualized prescriptions.
- Must be able to meet physical demands which may include light lifting.
