About the Role We are seeking a Senior Application Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing engineering team supporting top accounts in the consumer electronics sector. This role focuses on developing next-generation adhesives, processes, and applications that deliver a competitive advantage to customers. You will drive technical strategy, manage engineering labs, oversee CapEx projects, and promote a collaborative, growth-oriented culture. This is a key leadership position offering the opportunity to influence innovation, strengthen customer relationships, and shape the future capabilities of the engineering organization. Key Responsibilities Team & Leadership Lead and mentor a team of application engineers and scientists supporting major consumer electronics accounts. Foster a culture of learning, collaboration, continuous improvement, and technical excellence. Support long-term career development and performance management. Technical & Operational Oversight Drive development of new adhesive technologies, materials, and application processes. Manage engineering labs, workflows, project prioritization, and customer deliverables. Ensure timely reporting to internal stakeholders and external clients. Lead CapEx planning and execution to enhance lab capabilities and future-readiness. Oversee compliance with safety, legal, and industry/customer standards. Customer & Project Management Partner closely with strategic accounts to understand technical requirements and deliver best-in-class solutions. Coordinate complex projects using agile methodologies to adapt to evolving market needs. Support cross-functional collaboration with R&D, product management, and operations. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related scientific field (advanced degree preferred). 10+ years of experience working with adhesives, films, tapes, or related materials in consumer electronics or similar industries. 5+ years of leadership experience, managing teams of 5+ engineers/scientists. Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Experience with FEA, flow modeling, CAD design, and/or lab automation technologies. Demonstrated ability to lead complex engineering programs and customer initiatives. Preferred Skills Background supporting high-volume consumer electronics manufacturing. Experience working with global teams and international clients. Strong project management skills with agile experience. Ability to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
