Aspirus Cardiology Clinic in Wausau, WI is seeking a REGISTERED NURSE to join our STRESS LABteam!
The Stress Lab RN provides specialized nursing care for patients undergoing cardiac stress testing procedures including Cardiac PET/CT, Nuclear medicine stress tests and stress echocardiography. Responsibilities include patient assessment and preparation, monitoring vital signs, ECG rhythm interpretation, administration of medications per protocol, recognition and response to cardiac emergencies, and patient education. Collaborates with providers and diagnostic staff to ensure safe, efficient testing and accurate clinical documentation. Requirements: Current RN license, ACLS certification within 3 months of hire.
HOURS: Full Time or .9 FTE, 72 hours every pay period. 9-hour shifts Monday - Friday with a varying day off each week.
Experience/Qualification
  • Associate degree in nursing required.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
  • Certification in specialty desired.
  • Minimum of one year practicing as a RN preferred.
  • Possesses an active Wisconsin RN nursing license.
  • ACLS certification within 6 months of hire date.
  • Certified Heart Failure Nurse (CHFN) certification with 2 years of hire date.
  • Maintains specialty certification as per department scope of service.
  • Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire - All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, manikin, and knowledge testing. An acceptable BLS training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED.
