Job description

InterHealth Medical Staffing Solutions is a for-profit staffing division of Tampa General Hospital. One of the most comprehensive medical facilities in Florida serving a dozen counties with a population more than six million. We are committed to providing patients with excellent and compassionate care.  Tampa General is affiliated with the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine and serves as the primary teaching hospital for the university. Interhealth is currently hiring for 13-week contracts with significantly higher base pay and benefits for purchase. We offer opportunities that will allow our seasonal contractors to consider full time or part time conversions but also be eligible for contract extensions depending on team's coverage. Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years' experience within the specific division being hired into and deemed competent to work independently.

Provides direct care to patients using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation during the cardiac/interventional radiology procedures.  Functions and performs all technical aspects of nursing care within the framework of established policies and procedures of Hospital.  Performs under the supervision of the Department Director and Nursing Director. The Cath Lab/IR Nurse conducts patient assessment duties such as monitoring vital signs, administering medications as instructed by the physician. Also keeps patient records, updates charts or for the medical procedures performed in the cardiac catheterization laboratory/Interventional Radiology.  Also will help during life saving actions such as CPR and defibrillation.  Monitors patient during Conscious Sedation per physician instructions. Administered medication during advance interventional cardiac/peripheral procedures such as STEMI, PCI, balloon angioplasty, stent placement.

Education:   Associate's Degree of Nursing Minimum

Licenses/Certifications:   FL RN license; BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required.

Minimum 1 year experience in the Cath Lab.
