Job description

At the Vitrolife Group, we work every day to unlock the full potential of science and technology to reduce the barriers towards building a family. Together we help our customers and their patients to fulfill the dream of having a baby.
The job includes but not limited to specimen reception and inspection as well as entering data into the reporting system, recording incidences, receiving/recording consumables, receive, clean and assemble kit components, and other needed responsibilities to support US & LATAM.
Location: Miami, FL (On-site only)
Responsibilities
  • Follow the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and maintaining records of patient test results.
  • Adhere to the laboratory's quality control policies and procedures.
  • Assemble and/or disassemble kit trays and materials as needed.
  • Clean and maintain the sample receiving area so that it can function in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Identify problems that may adversely affect test performance, and either must correct the problems.
  • Document all corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from the laboratory's established performance specifications.
  • Provide assistance to the Laboratory Technologists as needed.
  • Responsible for handling documentation requirements
  • Outsourcing and overseeing of sample reception area.
  • Providing administrative support to the laboratory team
  • Ensuring accuracy and proof-reading any company documentation prior to registering the data in the software
  • Entering and updating client data where required using the proper software.
  • Registering non-conformities related to pre-analytical steps.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree in related fields is preferred.
  • More than 1 year of experience in the same or similar role in a laboratory.
