Job description

We're seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Industrial Laboratory Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laboratory procedures, compliance with industry standards, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Location: Davie

Full-time 1st shift

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complies with all cGLP/GMP and safety requirements, laboratory SOP’s and Company policies. Complies with good housekeeping and safety practices; washes glassware and ensures cleanliness of testing equipment
  • Responsible for laboratory housekeeping, change waste containers, gas cylinders and washing of glassware
  • Performs a full range of testing of raw materials, components and finished product, prepares sample solutions, and maintains appropriate sample testing documentation
  • Performs sampling and testing in accordance with SOPs and current Good Manufacturing Procedures (cGMPs)
  • Conducts routine analysis of raw materials, using Soleris system
  • Prepares and maintains volumetric tests and solutions
  • Disposes waste according to Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations and transfer of gas cylinders as instructed by supervisor/manager
  • Maintains appropriate documentation (records and lab notebooks) as required by SOP’s and cGLP’s
  • Receives and controls laboratory samples as needed.
  • Occasionally receives laboratory supplies and chemicals, maintaining inventory control
  • Prepares and tracks purchase orders for lab supplies
  • Assists the Chemist and Microbiologist in their duties when requested
  • Enters the purchasing orders for the materials required by the laboratory
  • Performs related duties as assigned by the immediate Supervisor

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Science preferred or equivalent job experience.
  • 1 - 3 years’ experience in a laboratory setting.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred.
  • Basic math skills and knowledge in GMPs and safety practices
  • Ability to carry 50+ pounds; position involves on a weekly basis carrying about 6 tanks of 50+ pounds.
  • Knowledge of laboratory equipment, including HPLC, ICP, or titrators.

Other Requirements:

  • Must be available Monday to Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm.

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires standing, bending, lifting, handling chemicals, and using monitors and computers.

Work Environment:

  • Works frequently in a laboratory environment.
