About the Role:
Eyes on Brickell Optical Boutique is looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Optical Lab and Sales Associate to join our team in the heart of Miami, FL. This is a dynamic dual role where you'll craft precision eyewear in the lab while delivering an exceptional, personalized shopping experience on the floor. If you love optics, style, and helping people see the world more clearly, this is the opportunity for you!
Responsibilities:
  • Fabricate, cut, and edge lenses using optical lab equipment to fulfill prescription eyewear orders
  • Must have experience in assembling all types of Frames, ie: Metal, Zyl, Rimless, Drill mount, etc.
  • Inspect finished eyewear for quality control and accuracy against prescriptions
  • Assist customers in selecting frames and lenses that fit their lifestyle, prescription, and personal style
  • Perform frame adjustments, repairs, and fittings to ensure optimal comfort and fit
  • Process and track eyewear orders, both in-house and with outside labs
  • Maintain lab equipment, inventory, and a clean, organized workspace
  • Educate customers on lens options, coatings, and brands to drive informed purchasing decisions
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in an optical lab or retail optical environment strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with lens edging, surfacing, and optical lab equipment
  • ABO (American Board of Opticianry) certification a plus
  • Strong sales skills with a customer-first, consultative approach
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to read and interpret optical prescriptions
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred for our Miami clientele
  • Positive, professional demeanor with a passion for fashion and eyewear
