Job description

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Lab Associate for an Onsite position with a Global Biotechnology Company located in South San Francisco, CA. This is a 12 month contract opportunity.
This role will support biomarker discovery using human samples like whole blood and PBMCs, focusing on generating high-quality, reproducible data in a highly collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Execute and analyze experiments with minimal supervision
  • Work with human samples (PBMCs, whole blood) using established protocols
  • Generate, document, and interpret data
  • Optimize assays and troubleshoot experiments
  • Operate key lab platforms and ensure data quality
  • Communicate results and collaborate across teams

Requirements:
  • Master's degree OR Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience OR Associate's degree and 4 years of experience OR High school diploma / GED and 6 years of experience
  • Degree in Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry, or a related field
  • Strong hands-on lab skills and experience with human samples
  • Experience with Flow cytometry, Luminex, and ELISA
  • Experience with cell culture (primary immune cells preferred)
  • Experience with RNA extraction and qPCR
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Basic data analysis skills
