About the role
  • This role will oversee the nursing lab during open lab hours; occasional light secretarial/computer duties; assist students with finding equipment, understanding lab assignments, performing procedures, and practicing for performance exams. Cleaning duties include setting up chairs/tables, straightening beds, putting items away, cleaning sinks, emptying waste baskets, making beds, laundry, refilling of towels and soap, and vacuuming as needed. This role will set up equipment for learning experiences, communicate concerns and questions to Nursing Lab Director and/or lab associate, closing lab at the end of the day, and may work on some projects at faculty request.
Qualifications
  • Must be a Bethel junior or senior nursing student in good academic standing

Work Environment:
This job operates in the Undergrad Nursing Lab at 3900 Bethel Drive.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those required of an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The job requires extended periods of standing and frequent traversing of the Undergrad Nursing Lab. Ability to lift, carry, push/pull up to 25 lbs., including boxes, training dolls, etc. Able to stand on a step stool to reach top shelves.
Expected Hours of Work:
Hours of work are 3:30pm to 8pm with occasional additional hours during the week or weekend days as needed. Shifts are during the evening Sunday-Thursday.
