Job Title: Lab Technician Location: Madison Heights, MI Contractor Work Model: Onsite Hours: M-F 8am-5pm Compensation: $25.00 - $29.00/hr Type: Contract, Potential for extension or conversion to permanent Responsibilities
- Perform Testing following SOP, QC, ASTM or similar related test method/procedures
- Operate Analytical Equipment or Devices (ICP, IC, XRF, SEM, GC-FID, HPLC, etc.)
- Review data for quality trends and proper reports
- Utilize Microsoft Office and Digital Platforms (LIMS)
- Maintain proper housekeeping (5S) and safety
- Check e-mails for questions
- Follow quality procedures for log and other record keeping
Requirements - Associates or Bachelor's degree in a technical field
- 1-year of demonstrated laboratory experience
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office products - Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to understand and follow experimental protocols for preservation of data
- Comfortable and able to work with toxic chemicals while following safe laboratory practices/protocols
- The ability to stand while working in the laboratory throughout most of the day
- Experience working in an Analytical laboratory desired
- Able to work in teams and in a fast-paced environment
- Skills with ICP, IC, XRF, SEM, GC-FID & HPLC desired
