Position : Associate Scientist
Location : Baltimore, MD
Duration : 12+ Months Contract
Start Time : 8:00 AM
End Time : 5:00 PM
Total Hours/week : 42.50[Mon-Fri]
Qualifications:
  • We are looking for a motivated Associate Scientist to join our company for a contract position.
  • The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of professional experience with the following: โ€ข
  • Capable of creating and preparing culture media in a GLP/GMP environment โ€ข
  • Trained in working with bacterial cultures โ€ข
  • Skilled in the use of aseptic technique โ€ข
  • Capable of evaluating test results and drawing conclusions โ€ข
  • Efficient use of scales, balances and pH meters โ€ข
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years in a professional biotech environment, although education and academic experience may be substituted.
  • B.S. in Microbiology or a related Life Science is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
  • Associate Scientist is responsible for producing lab scale pilots of prepared and dehydrated media and sterilizing biohazard wastes.
