JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Responsibilities

As a Medical Lab Technician (PRN), you will play a key role in supporting accurate and timely laboratory testing. Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Performing laboratory testing in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Conducting and evaluating analytical tests to ensure accurate and reliable results.
  • Preparing, processing, and properly storing laboratory specimens.
  • Maintaining laboratory equipment and supplies while performing basic quality control.
  • Following all infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Completing required documentation and performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To join our team, you will need the following qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician, Medical Technologist, or Clinical Laboratory Science program required.
  • Minimum of six (6) months of experience as a Technician/Technologist in a laboratory setting required.
  • Current MLT/MT (ASCP) certification or registration required.
  • Valid and current State of Louisiana license as a Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Technologist, or a Temporary License pending completion of licensure application, required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
