Pathology Lab Assistant I & II (Multiple Openings)

Location: Pleasant Prairie, WI
Department: Pathology / Laboratory Services
Employment Type: Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities Available

Open Positions & Shifts

  • Lab Assistant I (3rd Shift – Full-Time)
    Sun, Mon–Thurs | 8:00 PM – 4:30 AM
  • Lab Assistant I (Part-Time)
    Mon–Fri | 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM (20 hours/week)
  • Pathology Lab Assistant II (2nd Shift – Full-Time)
    Mon–Fri | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM

Compensation

  • PLA I: $20.00 – $21.00/hour (High school diploma required)
  • PLA II: $21.00 – $22.00/hour (Science degree required)


Shift Differentials:

  • 2nd Shift: +$2.00/hour
  • 3rd Shift: +$4.00/hour


Position Summary

The Pathology Lab Assistant I & II supports laboratory operations by performing specimen handling, data entry, and clerical functions to ensure accurate and timely processing of patient samples. This role is essential in maintaining workflow efficiency and supporting diagnostic services.


Key Responsibilities

Lab Assistant I:

  • Receive, label, and prepare specimens for processing

Lab Assistant II (Advanced Responsibilities):

  • Perform all Lab Assistant I duties

  • Troubleshoot specimen discrepancies
  • Support training of new or junior staff


Qualifications

Lab Assistant I:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Lab Assistant II:
