Description:     Teacher Assistant (Computer Lab - ISS)
                                190-day position  
                                Salary:   $20,932 base salary (based on education and
                                              teacher assistant experience)  
Location:  Darlington High School 
Available:  2026 - 2027 School Year






* A negative TB test result must be on file prior to starting work
FLSA Status:    Non-Exempt
Qualifications:
                           Minimum of sixty (60) academic credit hours from an accredited
                                   institution of higher education
                               or
                            An associate degree (or higher)
OR
                          Item (1)     High School Diploma or the equivalent
                                          AND
                          Item (2)     Ready to Work Credentials











                              *   WIN - Copy of WIN Assessment minimum of Silver: Level 4 or
                                             higher
                               or


                              *   ParaPro  -  Copy of passing score (minimum 456) on ParaPro,
                                                the state approved academic assessment

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide classroom teaching assistance
  • Provide supervision of students at all times
  • Maintain a positive classroom environment
  • Adhere to district dress code policies
  • Maintain required confidentiality in regard to students and school records
  • Positively supports all facets of student growth and development
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of fifty pounds
  • Perform other duties as assigned
