The LMA 4 at SJN should be willing to be trained to function as a Tech Assist and will not work at a POC lab.
This position would provide flexible support:
• Assisting as a Tech Assist during high volume periods: issuing blood products/loading analyzers
• Supporting the morning run with phlebotomy.
• Dual role: Serving as both night shift technical support and morning run phlebotomy support
  • Facility: St. Joseph's North Hospital
  • Location: Lutz, FL
  • Status: FT

  • Shift Hours: 11:00pm - 7:30am
  • Weekend Work: None
  • On Call: No

Responsibilities:
The Lab Medical Assistant IV is responsible for:
  • Assists the technical staff within the technical departments
  • Handles any and all manual pretesting procedures including waived testing as required
  • Works in a team environment
  • Demonstrate organizational, time management, analytical, delegation, written, and verbal skills
  • Use computer skills appropriate to position
  • Must have customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards appropriate to position
  • Identifies problems and implements and/or recommends solutions
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Certification & Licensure:
  • Required - Driver's License (if applicable)
  • Required - ASCP / SCYM (if applicable)
  • Required - AMT Medical Technologists (if applicable)
  • Required - ASPT Phlebotomy Technicians (if applicable)

Education:
  • Required - High School or Equivalent
  • Preferred - Technical Science
  • Preferred - Associate's

Experience:
  • Required - 1 year in related field
  • Preferred - 2 years in related field
