About the Role:

The Tasker is responsible for managing, monitoring, and executing system-directed work within the Savannah Distribution Center using Blue Yonder 2024 out-of-the-box functionality. This role serves as a critical link between the physical warehouse operation and the WMS, ensuring work is released, prioritized, completed, and corrected in real time to support inbound, put away, replenishment, picking, inventory accuracy, and outbound flow.

The Tasker must understand warehouse flow from dock to stock to ship and be able to identify when system tasks, physical product movement, or associate execution are not aligned.

Responsibilities:

    • Monitor Blue Yonder task queues throughout the shift and ensure work is being completed in the correct priority.
    • Assign, release, and follow up on system-directed tasks for put away, replenishment, picking, cycle counts, moves, and inventory-related activity.
    • Support Savannah’s startup operation by helping stabilize process flow, system discipline, and task execution.
    • Partner with Receiving, Inventory, Fulfillment, Shipping, and Leadership to resolve task exceptions quickly.
    • Validate that physical product movement matches Blue Yonder system activity.
    • Escalate system issues, stuck tasks, inventory discrepancies, location issues, or process breakdowns.
    • Support VNA, standard reserve, case flow, pallet flow, and floor-level pick location activity.
    • Monitor replenishment needs and help ensure pick locations remain stocked to support outbound productivity.
    • Assist with cycle count execution, near-zero counts, inventory moves, and location accuracy.
    • Help maintain clean task flow to prevent operational bottlenecks.
    • Communicate priorities clearly to equipment operators, pickers, receivers, and leads.
    • Use RF devices and Blue Yonder screens to research, troubleshoot, and confirm work completion.
    • Support startup testing, training, and process refinement as Savannah continues to mature.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to use RF scanners, computers, and WMS screens.
  • Ability to walk the floor to validate task completion and product/location accuracy.
  • Must be comfortable working around powered industrial equipment.
  • Flexibility to support multiple departments as operational needs change.
  • HS Diploma/GED
  • Experience in warehouse/DC operations

Skills:

    • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including receiving, put away, replenishment, picking, shipping, and inventory control.
    • Ability to learn and operate within Blue Yonder2024out-of-the-box functionality.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify root cause when system and physical activity do not align.
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup warehouse environment.
    • Ability to communicate clearly with associates, leads, supervisors, and management.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to prioritize work based on operational need, customer impact, and system urgency.
    • Forklift/equipment knowledge preferred, especially around reach truck, order picker, swing reach, and pallet movement.
