Job description

Rennova Community Health, Inc. is seeking an experienced and highly organized Senior Human Resources Generalist to support a compliant and engaged healthcare workforce of approximately 220 employees across two companies located on the same campus. This role is responsible for the full spectrum of human capital functions, including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, compensation and benefits administration, performance management, and workforce development within a regulated healthcare environment.


This is an on-site position located in Oneida, Tennessee.


Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Workforce Planning

  • Develop and execute effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified clinical and non-clinical healthcare professionals.
  • Partner with department leaders to assess staffing needs and workforce planning requirements.
  • Oversee onboarding and orientation processes to ensure a positive and compliant employee experience.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with staffing agencies and educational institutions to support talent pipelines.

Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Advise managers and employees on employee relations matters, performance concerns, and corrective actions.
  • Conduct investigations and resolve complaints related to workplace conflict, misconduct, or policy violations.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture that supports engagement, retention, and professionalism.

Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and healthcare regulations, including CMS and HIPAA.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Tennessee employment laws impacting healthcare operations.
  • Support audits, accreditation reviews, and internal compliance initiatives.

Compensation & Benefits Administration

  • Assist with salary administration, job classifications, and market benchmarking.
  • Coordinate annual open enrollment and provide employee education regarding benefit offerings.

Performance Management & Development

  • Administer performance evaluation processes aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Identify training and professional development needs and coordinate learning initiatives.
  • Support leadership development and succession planning efforts.

HRIS & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate employee records within HRIS platforms (Kronos Workforce Management or similar systems).
  • Generate HR metrics and reports to support leadership decision-making.
  • Ensure data integrity, confidentiality, and compliance with privacy requirements.

Health, Safety & Employee Wellness

  • Collaborate with occupational health and safety partners to promote workplace safety and employee well-being.
  • Support return-to-work programs, accommodations, and workers’ compensation processes.

Strategic HR Support

  • Align HR initiatives with organizational goals and healthcare service delivery needs.
  • Participate in organizational development and change management initiatives.
  • Provide HR guidance and insights to leadership on workforce strategy.

Other Duties

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience in lieu of education may be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in a healthcare setting (acute care and/or emergency services preferred).
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law, healthcare compliance requirements, and HR best practices.
  • Proven ability to recruit, evaluate, and select candidates using sound judgment and discretion.
  • Prior experience with Kronos Workforce Management or comparable HRIS platforms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, objectivity, and discretion in handling sensitive matters.
  • Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills across clinical and non-clinical teams.
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
