Salary range: $55,000 - $70,000

Location: Joliet, IL

Department: Human Resources/Warehouse Operations

Responsibilities
  • Employee relations: conduct employment‑related investigations, provide recommendations to management, and maintain positive associate relations through regular floor walks and meetings.
  • Recruiting: support hourly recruiting efforts by partnering with the site recruiter as needed.
  • Benefits: serve as a local resource for associates during the benefit enrollment process.
  • Hourly compensation and time‑and‑attendance administration: administer facility compensation guidelines, process hourly pay changes promptly, and ensure weekly time and attendance procedures are completed.
  • Training and development: orient new associates, train them on company policies and procedures, and verify completion of all required onboarding training.
  • Coaching and counseling: provide information resources for both hourly and management associates.
  • Business objectives: assist in implementing and executing facility and company objectives through planning, organizing, and implementing HR processes and initiatives.
  • Identify and recommend continuous improvement opportunities in processes, procedures, and policies.
  • Reporting: create and complete reports and presentations using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint on productivity measurement, workforce planning, and monitoring KPI results.
  • Associate recognition: manage associate recognition programs and recommend cost‑appropriate recognition events to management.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in HR Management or a business‑related discipline is preferred.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of HR experience; preference for those who have supported a significant hourly population and have union‑avoidance experience.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are required; strong oral and written communication; experience with Workday and Kronos preferred; strong interpersonal and relationship‑management skills with both hourly and salaried associates; ability to work independently; understanding of federal, state, and local employment law; ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
