Position: Human Resources Assistant

Department: Human Resources Department

Reports to: Human Resources Supervisor

Pay for this position will be $18.50 - $24.50 per hour

We are searching for a hardworking HR professional to support our growing Human Resources team here in our [DC Name] HomeGoods Distribution Center; we are looking for a diverse candidate pool flow, and we invite you to apply for this role. We want to meet you and see if you can be the right fit. We are willing to train the right candidate of all backgrounds!

Responsibilities:

Essential Job Functions:

  • Processes payroll using Kronos and Oracle Time & Attendance system.

  • Maintains accurate records and personnel files.

  • Assists supervisors with associate relations issues; specifically answering HR related questions and interpretations

  • Bi-Lingual in Spanish preferred.

  • Serves as back-up to the Receptionist and cross-trained to handle benefits and worker’s compensation tasks.

  • Coordinates Leave of Absences; Personal, Medical, FMLA.

  • Conducts Benefit Orientations and 401K orientations.

  • Acts as liaison between Associates and external support groups; assists Associates in securing the appropriate support.

  • Maintains I-9 records and supports compliance with federal laws regarding recordkeeping requirements.

  • Other duties may also be assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Computer proficient, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Intercommunication skills.

  • Customer Service Driven.

  • Validated organization, time-management, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential data.

  • Flexible and adaptable to change.

  • Reliable and diligent with a history of work presence.
