Position: Human Resources Assistant

Department: Human Resources Department

Reports to: Human Resources Supervisor

Pay for this position will be $18.50 - $24.50 per hour

We are searching for a hardworking HR professional to support our growing Human Resources team here in our [DC Name] HomeGoods Distribution Center; we are looking for a diverse candidate pool flow, and we invite you to apply for this role. Responsibilities:

Essential Job Functions:

  • Processes payroll using Kronos and Oracle Time & Attendance system.

  • Maintains accurate records and personnel files.

  • Assists supervisors with associate relations issues; specifically answering HR related questions and interpretations

  • Bi-Lingual in Spanish preferred.

  • Serves as back-up to the Receptionist and cross-trained to handle benefits and worker’s compensation tasks.

  • Coordinates Leave of Absences; Personal, Medical, FMLA.

  • Conducts Benefit Orientations and 401K orientations.

  • Acts as liaison between Associates and external support groups; assists Associates in securing the appropriate support.

  • Maintains I-9 records and supports compliance with federal laws regarding recordkeeping requirements.

  • Other duties may also be assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Computer proficient, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Intercommunication skills.

  • Customer Service Driven.

  • Validated organization, time-management, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential data.

  • Flexible and adaptable to change.

  • Reliable and diligent with a history of work presence.
