Job Summary:
Responsible for identifying and documenting the business needs, to include understanding their structure, processes, and operations, and interpreting their rules, requirements, and workflows to help the business achieve their goals and resolve their business challenges via information technology solutions. The goal is to achieve a higher level of standardization, centralization, and simplification across key systems and business processes which significantly impact operations from end to end. This role acts as a liaison between the business and ERP technology functions of the company.
Job Description:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Leads and conducts design, configuration, testing, training, deployment, and support of strategic projects utilizing the defined software development life cycle (SDLC). Identify and recommend areas of process improvements by analyzing industry and company best practices.
• Facilitate requirements gathering/meetings with business partners to gather requirements for IT solutions and identify impacted business processes to help facilitate IT solution integration.
• Ability to evaluate and recommend system solutions within JDE E1 and ancillary solutions that support the business.
• Acts as liaison between departmental end-users, outside vendors, suppliers and I.T. Enhance current system functionality by facilitating business requests and assessing, defining, and documenting solution recommendations.
• Leads business case development, testing and training plans, project plans, and estimates. Manages risks and issues that arise pertaining to assigned platforms.
• Develops functional designs (FDD's) to include logical data model, system interfaces, and security requirements, and reviews with and obtains stakeholder approvals.
• Performs System Testing and reports and tracks issues identified through resolution.
• Develops user acceptance test plans and test scenarios and manages the execution of UAT (User Acceptance Testing). Documents test results, monitors, and reports testing results and status.
• Support production environment by resolving production incidents and providing day to day support and education to system business users.
• Perform first and second level production support for various systems, including analysis and resolution of assigned ServiceNow incidents.
• Work with technical resources to deliver solutions, troubleshoot issues, and identify opportunities for improvement, including error handling and monitoring.
• Ensure proper configuration management is followed for JDE E1 systems.
• Influences and contributes to process and organizational continuous improvements.
SCOPE & IMPACT:
This role supports multiple internal and external systems and technology bases. Responsibilities include support of functional areas across multiple disciplines, and divisions. Communicates statuses and priorities to leadership regularly.
MINIMIUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/IT or related field with 4 - 6 years of relevant experience.
• One (1) to three (3) years leadership/supervisory experience
• Ability to effectively work with both technical staff and business process owners
• Demonstrated experience as a Project Manager
• Strong oral and written communication skills, and teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Four (+) years experience with Oracle JDE E1 modules
• Ability to communicate technology terminology at all levels
• Ability to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously and independently
• Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, SQL, business process modeling
• Travel Required: Up to 15%
PREFERED REQUIREMENTS:
• Master's Degree in Computer Science/IT
• Strong documentation skills
• Experience with HR related systems (i.e., Kronos, Workday)
• Experience with Oracle, MS SQL, or Postgres
• Experience with Java, BRMS, and SoapUI
