Minimum
- 5+ years of experience in division and/or Corporate Merchandising
- Any experience managing and leading groups of administrative managers
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of space management software tools and capabilities
- Proficient in customer management tools such as Kroger systems, 84.51, Business Objects, Pricing and Sales Plan tools
- Knowledge in customer management software tools and capabilities
- Strong knowledge of the retail environment, as well as consumer and competitive market dynamics
- Excellent oral/written communication skills
Desired
- Bachelor's Degree business
- Any category management (assortment, pricing and sales planning) experience
- Any store leadership experience
- Serve as the primary point of contact for division leadership (e.g., VPs, controllers, etc.)
- Oversee division-level financial roll-up to ensure high-quality, market-relevant planning
- Re-balance plans and financials across departments and division group
- Report division performance to key leaders
- Ensure strategic priorities are shared between General Office (G.O.) and division
- Provide input to departments in defining top-down budgets
- Support divisions in conducting major events, working within Merchandising execution timelines
- Manage teams of department-aligned promo planners
- Develop top talent and reward success
- Ensure strong talent pipeline and succession planning, in collaboration with HR
- Create opportunities for growth, skill development, and career progression across specialized cohorts
- Recognize/celebrate success and effective collaboration while evaluating ways to evolve/sustain success
- Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports
