Job description

Krazan & Associates is seeking a Geotechnical Engineering Intern to join our Modesto, CA office. As a summer intern, you will play a key role in supporting our Geotechnical engineering and construction testing & inspection teams. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineering student looking to gain hands-on field experience with a reputable Engineering Firm.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with geotechnical field investigations and construction site observations to assess soil and foundation conditions
  • Support engineering staff with technical reviews of reports, specifications, and construction documents
  • Perform soil sampling, testing, and data collection in both field and laboratory settings
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and internal teams on a variety of projects
  • Gain exposure to geotechnical analysis, construction testing, and engineering consulting practices


 Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a BS/MS in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
  • Strong interest in geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and field conditions and travel to project sites as needed
  • Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required for company vehicle use)
