Job description

Join us as a DTG Printer Maintenance Technician, where your expertise will shine! We’re looking for enthusiastic technicians with a strong background in various digital printers (Kornit experience is a plus!), RIP software, and maintenance practices, as well as familiarity with digital workflow systems and dryers. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring colors look fantastic, keeping production logs up to date, and collaborating with our talented production and quality control teams to deliver exceptional printed products. This hands-on job may require you to stay on your feet and adapt to shifting production requirements while remaining organized to guarantee smooth operations and remarkable results every time.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the DIRECT-TO-GARMENT (DTG) EQUIPMENT -Kornit, DIRECT-TO-FILM -Audley, and ADELCO DUAL TEXTILE DRYERS are functioning at their peak levels.
  • Optimize printer settings to consistently achieve high-quality prints in a fast-paced production environment, while minimizing waste and ink costs.
  • Proactively address technical issues and improper machine peak
  • Reduce machine downtime caused by technical problems.
  • Swiftly conduct troubleshooting and repairs on all equipment, coordinating effectively with the Print Operations Manager.
  • Regularly assess print quality, rapidly identify machine malfunctions, and pursue solutions, including conducting Quality Reviews as needed.
  • Maintain all Kornit Atlas printers and Audley DTF printers through proper execution and logging of daily maintenance procedures, along with performing weekly maintenance and keeping meticulous records.
  • Create and manage maintenance logs for all printers, dryers, and compressors, ensuring thorough documentation and execution.
  • Keep a parts kit ready for quick resolutions to common technical issues.
  • Aid in training employees on equipment usage.
  • Explore alternative suppliers for Kornit serviceable components to lower maintenance costs per unit.
  • Undertake other assigned duties with enthusiasm.

Skills:

  • Operational Oversight: Ensure machinery is functioning correctly by observing gauges, dials, or indicators.
  • Quality Control Analysis: Evaluate product quality through tests and inspections of products, services, or processes.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in changing data cables, print heads, and managing maintenance and repair of all systems.
  • Operation and Control: Capable of managing equipment or systems operations effectively.
  • Monitoring: Assess and improve individual or organizational performance.

Minimum Qualifications Required:

  • High school diploma/GED
  • 1-2+ years of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment with DTG and/or DTF machinery, ideally in a start-up setting
  • Mechanical training
  • Ability to work in the US w/o authorization
  • Pass drug screen and background check
