To thrive as a Shirt Designer, you need a strong background in graphic design, color theory, and garment construction, typically supported by a degree in fashion design or graphic arts. Creativity, attention to detail, and strong communication skills help designers translate ideas into marketable apparel. These skills ensure the creation of visually appealing and commercially successful shirt designs that resonate with target audiences.

What are some common challenges faced by employees working at a print-on-demand company like Shirthub?

Working at a print-on-demand company such as Shirthub often involves managing high order volumes, especially during peak seasons, while maintaining quality and meeting tight deadlines. We're expanding our decoration capabilities and building a dedicated embroidery department featuring brand-new Tajima TMEZ embroidery machines. We're looking for an experienced commercial embroidery operator who takes pride in producing high-quality work and wants the opportunity to grow with a rapidly expanding company.
This isn't just another embroidery job. You'll play an important role in helping establish our embroidery operation from the ground up, with a clear opportunity to grow into a Lead or Embroidery Manager position as the department expands.
What You'll Do
  • Operate commercial embroidery machines in a production environment
  • Hoop garments accurately and efficiently
  • Set up jobs and load embroidery designs
  • Perform thread changes, machine setup, and production adjustments
  • Monitor stitch quality and inspect finished garments
  • Troubleshoot production issues to minimize downtime
  • Keep production organized and on schedule
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient embroidery department
  • Assist in developing best practices as the department grows
What We're Looking For
  • 2+ years of experience operating commercial embroidery machines
  • Experience with Tajima machines is a plus but not required
  • Strong understanding of hooping, stabilizers, thread, tension, and production embroidery
  • Ability to identify and solve embroidery quality issues
  • Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow
Why Join ShirtHub?
  • Work with new Tajima TMEZ embroidery technology
  • Help build a growing embroidery department from the beginning
  • Stable, full-time position with year-round work
  • Clean, modern production facility
  • Supportive team environment
  • Opportunity for advancement into a Lead or Management role as we continue to grow
Benefits
  • Competitive hourly pay based on experience
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid vacation, holidays, and sick time
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Employee discounts on custom apparel
  • Ongoing training and opportunities for career advancement
If you're an experienced embroidery professional looking for a long-term opportunity with a growing company that values quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement, we'd love to hear from you.
