Description
Vermont Cider Company is seeking a highly organized and results-driven Warehouse Manager to lead operations across three warehouse locations supporting our growing beverage manufacturing business. This role is responsible for driving efficiency, maintaining accurate inventory control, and leading high-performing teams while ensuring full compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
The ideal candidate brings strong leadership experience in multi-site warehouse operations, a continuous improvement mindset, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day operations across three warehouse locations, ensuring proper staffing, safe work practices, and efficient, accurate flow of raw materials and finished goods
  • Lead, coach, and develop warehouse teams, including hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management
  • Manage inventory control processes, including cycle counts, stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO), and accuracy across all facilities
  • Coordinate all warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping to support production and customer requirements
  • Establish and enforce safety programs, ensuring compliance with OSHA and company standards; conduct regular audits and training
  • Maintain product quality by ensuring proper handling, storage conditions, and adherence to beverage industry standards
  • Monitor and manage warehouse KPIs, budgets, and cost control initiatives to improve operational performance
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve warehouse processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Partner with Production, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Cellar, and Logistics teams to ensure alignment and seamless operations

Requirements
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5+ years of warehouse management experience, preferably within food and/or beverage manufacturing
  • Strong working knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control processes
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to manage, develop, and motivate multiple teams across locations
  • Solid understanding of OSHA regulations and food safety standards (e.g., GMPs, HACCP)
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and warehouse-related technologies
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel between multiple warehouse locations as needed

Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in forklift operation and other material handling equipment
  • Experience managing cold storage or refrigerated warehouse environments
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
  • Prior experience in the beverage or co-packing industry

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures, including cold storage conditions
  • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces as required
