Compensation and Benefits:
- Compensation: Salary $72,000 - $76,000, adjusted based on experience

Job Summary
Working under the direction of the Vehicle Maintenance Manager, this position balances administrative supervision of the Vehicle Maintenance department with hands-on mechanical work. Responsibilities include parts procurement, inventory management, maintenance recordkeeping systems, vendor and service coordination, purchasing, safety program support, and related administrative functions while actively performing maintenance and repair of resort vehicles and equipment.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Directly supervise the Vehicle Maintenance Parts Operation Strategist and oversee part and tool procurement, organization, and inventory of parts, fluids, and materials.
- Assist in planning and coordinating vehicle and equipment acquisition, replacement, and disposition.
- Administer maintenance record keeping systems and provide training and assistance to technicians in the completion of their record keeping.
- Administer departmental HR system functions, including timekeeping review, applicant support, personnel action processing, and related administrative functions.
- Oversee the on-road vehicle maintenance and service program, coordinating service appointments, vendor communication, and vehicle transport to ensure timely completion of repairs, maintenance and inspections.
- Plan and lead regular safety meetings, maintain accurate documentation and reporting, and contribute to the development, review, and implementation of safety policies and procedures across vehicle maintenance and mountain operations.
- Assist in developing and managing operating and capital budgets.
- Maintain effective communication to ensure productive inter-departmental relations within
- the mountain operations group and across the resort.
- Perform hands-on repairs, preventative maintenance, and safety inspections in collaboration with shop personnel to support efficient daily operations.
- Support daily vehicle maintenance operations in coordination with the Vehicle Maintenance Foreperson, providing additional oversight as needed in the absence of the Vehicle Maintenance Manager.
- Contribute to maintaining clean, safe, and properly functioning tools, equipment, and work areas.
- Provide superior service to our customers (internal and external) at all times. Follow the Resort Etiquette Guidelines while interacting with the guests and respond to all guests in a courteous, efficient manner
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant technical and mechanical repair experience and 2+ years of supervisory or team leader experience, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired
- Must be at least 18 years or older
- High school diploma or GED is required
- Valid driver's license is required
- Regular stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
- Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 75lbs
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Experience in electronic troubleshooting
- Good planning, administrative and supervisory skills
- Good math/budget skills; business training desirable
- Ability to deal effectively with a variety of company personnel and outside firms
- Must be flexible and able to adjust to the requirements of the resort as needed
- Superior attitude, self-motivating, and ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to proficiently diagnose and repair electrical, engine, and hydraulic systems independently
- Ability to safely and properly operate heavy equipment (including but not limited to loaders, excavators, snow groomers, etc)
- Ability to share knowledge with other staff throughout the department and resort
- Requires own tools for general maintenance and repairs
