Job description

Overview:

Business Title: Report Generation Specialist II

Position Title: Specialist II

Division: Consumer Products Services

Entity: Consumer Products Services

Reports to: Operations Manager  

FLSA: Non-Exempt

Location: Buffalo

Hours Worked: Typically, Monday through Friday, 40 per week

However, must be flexible to meet the needs of the department and complete other projects as assigned.

Position Summary:

To provide accurate, timely and precise technical document creation for both internal and external clients that meets or exceeds their expectations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creation of technical documentation reports for lab
  • Creation of invoices for technical reports
  • Conduct an administrative peer review of reports before distribution to the client.
  • Converting reports into PDF Format, e-mailing reports to clients, posting to BV OneSource and logging sample out of BV lab
  • Create documents for CPSIA regulations as requested (GCC etc.)
  • Provide back-up administrative services for other areas of the lab.
  • Adhere to the requirements of the BV-CPS Quality System and assist with the implementation and maintenance of the department quality system.
  • Provide feedback to department supervisor regarding departmental systems, processes, and recommendations for improvements.
  • Follow the guidelines set forth in the Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services, Inc. Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Comply with Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services, Inc. management systems in accordance with ISO 17025, ISO9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager

Additional Responsibilities for Specialist II:

  • Lead and mentor within designated team
  • Train new hires on report specialist position
  • Process reports using Automated Report Generator (ARG)
  • Assist with prioritizing workload for team as necessary and as directed by senior staff.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Highly proficient with MS Office
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize individual workload.
  • Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously, meeting deadlines and set priorities in order to manage daily workload.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication - written and verbal skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a support role within a team environment.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Problem solving ability required.
  • Flexibility for overtime when workload deems necessary.
  • Minimum 60 words per minute with minimal error rate.
  • Basic Programming and automatization knowledge.

Experience and Educational Background Required for the Job

  • High School Diploma with 5 years related experience

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of above.

Compensation Range: $19 - $21 an hour (e.g., the job posting is not necessarily reflective of actual compensation that may be earned, and actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as locations, education, experience, and skillset)
