Job description

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) is the platform architecture authority for a strategic enterprise engagement, responsible for deploying and configuring Astreya's proprietary Intelligence Suite - AI OpsHub, Lynx, and Pictor - within a complex client operational environment. The FDE leads all system access negotiations, data landscape assessment, connector architecture, and AI Agent knowledge base design. This individual operates at the intersection of enterprise systems integration, AI operations, and client delivery, and serves as the technical escalation point for all platform questions across the Foundation Team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead all system access negotiations with the client IT team; define minimum access requirements for platform discovery, data quality assessment, and read-mode configuration.
  • Deploy Pictor against client case management systems, SAP activity logs, and available operational data sources; configure discovery scope to cover all relevant RMA and workflow variants.
  • Configure AI OpsHub personas in read/configure mode; define SmartQueue routing logic based on client entitlement tiers discovered during the engagement.
  • Deploy Lynx data quality assessment across all accessible client operational data sources; produce data quality scoring across all T1 and T2 data feeds.
  • Own and maintain the Data Source Inventory and Integration Requirements Register; update weekly as new data sources are identified or access status changes.
  • Define AI Agent knowledge base architecture: RAG corpus requirements, CAG caching targets, and minimum data volume thresholds for acceptable initial accuracy.
  • Produce the AI OpsHub and Lynx Configuration Blueprint; document all persona configurations, integration endpoints, data pipeline specifications, and SmartQueue routing rules required for full platform activation.
  • Manage all Astreya IP platform deployment activities; ensure client data handling complies with Astreya's AI governance framework.
  • Serve as the technical escalation point for all platform questions raised by other Foundation Team members.
  • Oversee T2 and T3 connector onboarding post-Day 90; manage AI Agent knowledge base updates as new product families are introduced.
  • Train and onboard ST-2 AI/BI resources as they are activated via Change Order.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise systems integration, data engineering, or AI/ML platform deployment.
  • Hands-on experience deploying and configuring AI-assisted operations platforms in production enterprise environments.
  • Deep expertise in SAP integration (ECC BAPI and/or S/4HANA OData APIs); experience with SD, QM, CRM, and BW modules strongly preferred.
  • Experience designing and implementing data pipeline architectures connecting multiple heterogeneous enterprise source systems.
  • Proficiency in data quality assessment methodologies and tooling; ability to score and remediate complex enterprise data sets.
  • Strong understanding of RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) knowledge base architecture and AI Agent training data requirements.
  • Experience with REST API and OAuth2 integration patterns; familiarity with EDI (X12/AS2) integration.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical architecture to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with ITSM or RMA case management system integrations (e.g., Salesforce Service Cloud, ServiceNow, or proprietary platforms).
  • Familiarity with Salesforce (SFDC) REST/Bulk API integrations.
  • Experience with IoT data stream integration and real-time event processing.
  • Knowledge of MCP (Model Context Protocol) server configuration for AI agent system access.
  • Background in GPU, data center, or enterprise hardware lifecycle operations.
