Kentucky Medication Aide (KMA)

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Kentucky Medication Aide (KMA) to join our dynamic team at Spring Creek Rehab in Murray, Kentucky. As a KMA, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care by assisting with medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and other designated tasks.

Kentucky Medication Aide (KMA) Responsibilities

  • Assist with medication administration under the supervision of a licensed nurse or physician, including medication preparation, distribution, and documentation

  • Monitor and record patient vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure

  • Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming

  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines

  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans

  • Perform other designated tasks as needed to support the delivery of patient care

Kentucky Medication Aide (KMA) Requirements

  • Completion of a state-approved KMA training program

  • Currently certified as a KMA in the state of Kentucky

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
