Richard Manufacturing is a family-owned and operated government contracting company based in Ogden, Utah. As a growing manufacturer in the aerospace industry, we are committed to quality, precision, and continuous improvement. We are currently seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and adaptable individual to join our team as a Shipping & Kitting Clerk. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in staying organized and productive.



Position Overview

The Shipping & Kitting Clerk will primarily support shipping operations while also assisting with kitting and other production-related tasks as needed. Due to the dynamic nature of our business, team members in this role are expected to remain flexible and willing to assist in other departments when shipping or kitting demands are lighter. This includes learning entry-level Electrical Assembly processes and helping with smaller work orders assigned to the Electrical Shop. On-the-job training will be provided, and employees are expected to retain and apply what they learn as opportunities arise.



Primary Responsibilities

Shipping (Priority Focus)

  • Wrap parts and connectors
  • Build and prepare shipping boxes
  • Bag, tag, and label shipments
  • Create shrink tube tags, cable IDs, and labels
  • Package finished products according to contract requirements and specifications
  • Inspect packaged products to ensure compliance with contract requirements
  • Schedule freight and shipping pickups as needed

Kitting

  • Organize and distribute parts into individual kit bags according to work instructions
  • Print labels and prepare kits for production

Additional Responsibilities

  • Organize and maintain the mezzanine area
  • Manage shipping and kitting supplies inventory
  • Palletize boxes and shipments
  • Basic equipment maintenance

  • Self-motivated and deadline-driven
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to read and write English fluently
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to bend, reach, carry, and lift up to 40-50 lbs.
  • Ability to occasionally use small hand tools requiring twisting, grasping, pulling, and pinching motions
