Kitting Specialist

Title: Kitting Specialist, Central Lab Services

Location: Exton, PA

Reports to: Director of Logistics and Program Management

Full-time

Frontage Laboratories Inc. is an award winning, full-service, CRO/Contract Research Organization operating over 25 state-of-the-art laboratories across the US, Canada and China. Our core competencies include drug metabolism, pharmacokinetics/ pharmacodynamics (PK/PD), safety and toxicology, bioanalytical services, chemistry and manufacturing controls for drug development, and core laboratory services for clinical trials.


Position/Job Summary:

The Kitting Specialist builds and organizes collection kits for clinical trials; including ordering supplies, picking supplies, packing supplies, and creating shipments to clinical sites in conjunction with the Project Management team.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a working knowledge of different types of collection tubes and equipment, e.g., blood collection tubes, aliquots.
  • Maintain kitting department and create an organized workflow to ensure accurate kit building.
  • Create kits and all required documentation; participate in the quality control process of the kits prior to kit release to customers.
  • Track kit and supply inventory, work with Program Administrator to order additional supplies as required.
  • Alert Project Management of kit expiry dates.
  • Fulfill kit orders in conjunction with Project Management to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Help develop Commercial Invoices and customs documents when required.
  • Partner with Shipping Specialist as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience & Skills Required:

Minimum of 1 year of experience in clinical trial, phlebotomy, or laboratory medicine; or warehouse/fulfillment experience.
