Job Summary

The Material Handler supports manufacturing operations by managing the movement, storage, and distribution of materials within the facility. This is a hands-on role requiring consistent physical activity, including loading, unloading, and transporting materials to support production workflows. The position involves shipping, receiving, picking, and kitting responsibilities, as well as maintaining inventory accuracy. The Material Handler works under direct supervision, performing routine and semi-skilled tasks while ensuring materials are delivered efficiently and safely to meet production demands. This role follows a 4/10 schedule with an early morning start.
Job Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport materials within the facility using manual and powered equipment
  • Perform picking and kitting activities to support production requirements
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments, including counting and recording materials
  • Prepare and process outgoing shipments as needed
  • Operate equipment such as forklifts, hand trucks, and other material handling devices required
  • Maintain inventory accuracy by supporting cycle counts and inventory control processes
  • Stack, store, and organize materials in designated areas
  • Assist production teams by delivering materials and supporting workflow needs
  • Follow standard procedures and safety guidelines in all material handling activities
  • Identify and resolve routine issues, escalating complex problems as needed
  • Communicate effectively with team members and internal departments
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to lift and move materials regularly (minimum of 30 lbs.)
  • Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment
  • Ability to follow instructions and perform both routine and moderately complex tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Must meet work authorization requirements
Work Experience
  • Experience in a warehouse, stockroom, or manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience with picking, kitting, or production support strongly preferred
