Job description

What you will do:

Our Back of House (BOH) Supervisors are an integral part of the team who provide an exceptional dining experience to each and every guest. The BOH Supervisor is responsible for supporting the kitchen leadership in coordinating, supervising and directing all aspects of kitchen operations, while maintaining high quality menu options and service levels. If you thrive in an energetic, fast-paced and social atmosphere, this may be the opportunity for you!

In this role, your responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Leading kitchen staff to create and prepare menu items in an efficient manner

  • Supporting the kitchen with ensuring the safe and healthy preparation of meals and sanitation techniques at all times to avoid cross-contamination and the spoiling of food andbeverages

  • Training and coaching of kitchen employees

  • Reporting on any repairs or maintenance required for kitchen appliances and equipment

  • Assisting in completion of all line checks, cleaning duty rotation, and temperature logs

  • Establishing, implementing and communicating menu recipe requirements

  • Maintaining accurate log of food and beverage waste

  • Ensuring preparation and cooking stations are well stocked

Qualifications:

This may be a perfect fit for you if:

  • You have a required Secondary School Diploma

  • You have 3-5 years' restaurant kitchen experience

  • You have a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends

  • You have a Post-Secondary in Culinary Arts or Hospitality(preferred)

  • You have experience in high volume food program (preferred)

  • You have a provincial Smart Serve certification where applicable

  • You have a demonstrated ability to lead and direct a team
