Job description

Description:

Windham is looking to hire a Line Cook to join and round out our summer Food & Beverage team, with the opportunity to transition into our busy winter season. This is a great chance to come on board during the summer, learn our kitchen operations, and be fully prepared for the winter months.


As a luxury winter destination, hospitality is at the core of everything we do. We strive to deliver the same exceptional experience behind the scenes as our front-of-house teams provide to our members and lodging guests.


This is an on-site role, and summer and fall season housing is available for the right candidate. If you’re ready, join us and fall in love with Windham. We can’t wait to meet you!


These roles will ideally start in July or August.


Pay 18-24 per hour



Job Duties:

  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and handling standards
  • Operate grill, fryer, steam table, and assist with baking and food prep
  • Set up and stock stations to ensure smooth service
  • Prepare a variety of fresh foods, including salads, meats, soups, and desserts
  • Clean and maintain kitchen equipment as needed
  • Store food properly and manage deliveries and stock rotation
  • Assist with special events and support inventory tasks
Requirements:

Job Qualifications:

  • Thorough understanding of food safety and health regulations.
  • Strong familiarity with commercial kitchen tools, utensils, and equipment.
  • Must be able to follow directions thoroughly and accurately.
  • Must be comfortable interacting with both staff and guests in a friendly and helpful manner.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 10 hours.
  • Ability to stand and walk on uneven terrain, including snow and ice covered surfaces.
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
  • Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach regularly.


Work Schedule and Conditions: We are in the business of providing a premier product and experience for our guests. Traditionally our busy periods are during weekends and holiday periods which you will be expected to work. You can also expect to be asked to work extra hours or days on occasion, especially during the holiday periods.
