Job description

Carmello's is seeking to hire a Kitchen Manager. In this role, you will manage the restaurant kitchen teams. Our ideal candidates have 2+ years of full service Restaurant Kitchen Manager or Shift Leader experience in a fast paced-environment.  They are self-disciplined with strong leadership and time management skills and have a friendly and outgoing personality.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of prior experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen.
  • Fine dining experience a plus.
  • Must be able to take direction from the owner and the general manager.
  • Working knowledge of controlling inventory, food costs, labor costs.
  • Creativity in writing menus - must be able to create interesting and innovative menus for daily specials.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and trustworthy.
  • Flexible hours.
  • Positive attitude, adaptability, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Must be willing and able to develop team members at all levels.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Spanish a plus.
  • Candidates who live within 20 minutes of Manassas City preferred.

Responsibilities:
  • Bi-weekly inventories.
  • Ordering of food and supplies.
  • Works with the GM to Interview, hire, and schedule kitchen staff.
