We are seeking a PRN Cook to join our dedicated Kitchen team and contribute to the wellbeing of those we serve through quality meals and nutritional support

As a Cook, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical mission by preparing meals that meet nutritional guidelines and support patient recovery.

What You’ll Do

The PRN Cook participates in the delivery of highquality meals and nutritional services to patients, staff, and guests. Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and serving meals according to dietary guidelines and facility standards
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment
  • Following recipes and portion guidelines accurately
  • Collaborating with dietary team members and supporting kitchen operations
  • Communicating effectively with staff across departments

Qualifications

Education/Training: High School Diploma or GED

Licensure/Certification: Current Tennessee Driver’s License

Experience: Previous experience working in a food service industry, preferably in a hospital or other institutional setting.  In the absence of above qualifications/experience, must demonstrate the ability to learn necessary skills through the facility orientation program.

Expectations:

We value compassionate, reliable team members committed to excellent service. Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret information, including physician orders
  • Strong communication skills with patients, families, physicians, clinicians, and team members
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Ability to handle practical problemsolving in situations with limited standardization
  • Ability to remain calm and in control during highstress situations
  • Physical ability to meet job demands, including standing for long periods and lifting as needed
  • Leadership skills and confidence in emergency situations

Position Schedule:

  • PRN Position
  • Monday - Friday Day Shift: 5:00AM-1:30PM; Evening Shift: 11:00 AM–7:30 PM with rotating weekends and holidays
  • Opportunity for fulltime status may become available depending on performance, reliability, and departmental needs
