We are looking for a reliable part-time Cook to join our kitchen team. This position is mainly for Friday and Saturday shifts from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM each week, with the possibility of additional shifts during the week based on business needs, events, and availability.

The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role will support daily restaurant service, buffet service, prep, and event production.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards

  • Assist with buffet, a la carte, and event food production

  • Complete daily prep lists and communicate any shortages

  • Set up, stock, and maintain assigned stations

  • Cook proteins, vegetables, starches, soups, sauces, and other menu items as needed

  • Follow proper food handling, cooling, reheating, and storage procedures

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

  • Follow health and safety standards at all times

  • Assist with receiving, rotation, labeling, and storage of food products

  • Work as part of a team during busy service periods

  • Help with cleaning duties and end-of-shift close down

Requirements

  • Previous cooking or kitchen experience preferred

  • Must be available every Friday and Saturday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Reliable, punctual, and professional

  • Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs when needed

  • Food Handler Certification is an asset

  • Must be willing to follow recipes, portion standards, and kitchen procedures
