If you believe in the Boys and Girls Club of Truckee Meadows, you'll be excited by the possibility of getting a foot in the door working in our Clubhouse kitchen as a part-time Kitchen Assistant!
At our Clubhouse, you'll have the opportunity to support the kitchen in creating healthy, tasty meals for community youth, inspired by GREAT values: Generosity, Respect, Encouragement, Accountability, and Trustworthiness. Boys & Girls Club is committed to practicing those values to create a community organization where you can be sure you're making a difference.
We are looking for applicants available to work the same hours/shift every day Monday through Friday, likely from 9am to 2pm.
This role also includes some evenings and weekends throughout the year.
This position does require that you be over the age of 21 with a valid driver license and clean driving record.
Applicants with a desire to commit to a culinary career are preferred, but no experience is required.

Responsibilities for Kitchen Assistant:
With the guidance of our exceptional team of cooks, you will:
  • Clean and sanitize spaces and equipment
  • Pickup and deliver large amounts of cooked food in food trucks
  • Receive and unload shipments of food products

These duties include:
  • Moving large amounts of inventory
  • Washing dishes and utensils
  • Taking out trash
  • Driving food to area locations
  • Maintaining the safety of our children and staff, and ensuring an optimal experience for all

Applicants must be or become ServSafe certified within 90 days of employment.
Hiring Process:

  • Final decision typically made within five to seven business days of application
