Dietary Aide

Location: Omah, NE

Reports to: Dietary Manager or Food Service Director

Position Type: Part Time

Shift Available: 5 shifts/week 4pm-8pm

Job Summary:

The Dietary Aide supports the dietary team in providing nutritious and appealing meals to residents in a skilled nursing facility. This role involves assisting with meal preparation, serving food, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring that dietary needs are met according to individual resident care plans. The Dietary Aide plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for residents through proper nutrition and excellent service.

Work Environment:

This position operates in a clinical healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Meal Preparation: Assist with preparing and cooking meals according to menu plans and dietary guidelines. Follow standardized recipes and portion sizes.
  • Food Service: Serve meals and beverages to residents in a timely and courteous manner. Ensure that meals are presented attractively and at the appropriate temperature.
  • Dietary Compliance: Adhere to residents' dietary restrictions and preferences as outlined in their care plans. Maintain accurate records of special dietary requirements and report any deviations. Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment by following food safety protocols. Perform regular cleaning of work areas, utensils, and equipment.
  • Communication: Report any changes in residents' conditions or concerns to the nursing staff or supervisor in a timely manner.
