Position: Kitchen Aide

Program and Location: Peterson Senior Activity Center Meal Program - Kearney

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for general cleaning, housekeeping, and dishwashing in the kitchen and dining area.
  • Ensure the maintenance of all kitchen equipment and daily kitchen and dining area clean up.
  • Assist in daily meal preparation as needed.

Tasks and Duties:

  • Assist on serving line, as needed.
  • Assist in daily meal preparation.
  • Clean kitchen area, dining area, and store room area.
  • Clean all utensils, cooking vessels, and serving equipment.
  • Inventory tracking/reporting as needed.

Education Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED. Consideration will be given to individuals without a diploma or GED.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with the general public and agency employees.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time (cooking, meal serving, cleaning)
  • Ability to lift more than 30 pounds on a regular basis.

Schedule/Hours: 20 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Typical hours are scheduled between 9:30 am and 1:30 pm.

Pay Rate: Starting pay is $15.00 per hour. Benefits are not available for this position.
