Job description

KIA Service Technician Apprentice

Hyman Brothers Auto Group is looking for a dedicated KIA Service Technician Apprentice who aspires to become a master technician. The ideal candidate should have experience in general automotive service and either possess or be willing to obtain their Virginia State Inspection license. This role offers comprehensive training through hands-on experience, manufacturer online courses, and paid off-site education. It is an excellent opportunity for an apprentice to grow professionally and ultimately become a certified KIA technician. We encourage applicants who are serious about building a long-term career as a certified KIA technician to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections
  • Complete assigned work and repairs promptly and efficiently
  • Collaborate closely with experienced master technicians
  • Exhibit strong teamwork skills and demonstrate self-motivation
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks
  • Adhere to all company and manufacturer policies and procedures
  • Complete required manufacturer training and certifications

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in maintenance or a related field
  • Familiarity with maintenance tools and automotive equipment
  • Ability to manage a physically demanding workload
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Must own or be willing to acquire the necessary tools
  • Valid and active driver's license required
