Description

Keyholders at M&D Supply support a team of experts in helpfulness. Their team members consistently make customers happy by providing caring, knowledgeable customer service that clearly differentiates us from our competition. Branch store keyholders keep the supply chain moving at M&D Supply. Their job ensures that their store is "in stock". Areas of operational responsibility include: advertising, inventory control, pricing, visual merchandising, facilities maintenance, and information technology support.


Tasks

  • Open and close the store as scheduled/needed
  • Coordinate cashier drops and buying of change
  • Provide approvals for returns, defectives, voids, and overrides
  • Answer manager phone calls and radio pages
  • Troubleshoot computer problems
  • Meet with store manager to review assigned tasks
  • Read and reply to all digital correspondence
  • Ensure employees are assisting customers, quickly and efficiently and completing tasks as assigned
  • Trouble shoot customer problems and provide a solution to make them happy
  • "On site" attendance must fall within the company standards as outlined in the handbook.
  • Any other tasks required as determined by management


Supervisory Duties

  • Ensure exceptional customer service with every customer
  • Ensure safety is top priority
  • Facilitate the learning of job-related knowledge, skills and behavior
  • Assist in developing goals and strategies to coordinate operational activities
  • Work with and through people to execute M&D's value proposition
  • Assist with the evaluation of employee performance
  • Assist in meeting/exceeding specified KPI goals
  • Assist in the planning and conducting of staff meetings
  • Train team members on new policies and procedures


Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years old or older
  • 6 months to one year in related fields and/or previous management experience
  • Be able to obtain Forklift certification and LP gas certification.


Work Requirements

  • Skills include: Active listening, complex problem solving, judgment and decision making, service orientation, coordination, critical thinking, monitoring/assessing performance of others, instructing, time management, negotiation, persuasion, mathematics, reading comprehension, systems analysis, and awareness for safety hazards and/or dangers.
  • Physical activity includes: Stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motion.
  • Physical requirements: Must be able to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Must be able lift at least 80 lbs with assistance and 40 lbs without assistance, repeatedly from the ground to waist level.
  • Visual acuity requirements: Branch store managers are required to have the visual acuity to perform activities such as: item identification, preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts at distances close to the eyes. They are required to have acuity to accurately measure and cut building materials and to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned or to make general observations of facilities or structures.
  • Required Equipment operations: Keyholders must be able to operate machines such as key machine, forklift, pallet jack, computers, various software and internet-based programs, power saws, LPG filling equipment, power tools, cash register, POS Program, open office. Must be able to climb up and down ladders using 3 points of contact.
