Salary:

FUCHS offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience in a similar position. The salary range for this position is $115,000 - $125,000 plus a competitive bonus plan, but actual salary will vary depending upon a new hire’s experience and qualifications as well as internal equity.

Your Responsibilities:

The OEM Key Account Manager is responsible for particular OEM accounts, and reports to the Sales Director of the OEM Division. The OEM Key Account Manager proactively manages the business with selected key accounts and commits to increase sales to these accounts and new accounts. Furthermore, the Global OEM Key Account Manager:

  • Proactively develops business opportunities with existing and, especially, new key accounts.
  • Operates in a global network to support local Key Account Managers and to establish excellent contacts with the key accounts.
  • Coordinates the business of key accounts globally as interface between the key account and the FUCHS stakeholders, such as Product Management, Research & Development, Administration, Purchasing, Production, Customer Service, Logistics and Marketing.
  • Sets prices and negotiates terms and conditions.
  • Spends most of his time visiting customers, following up on current projects and searching for new opportunities.
  • Has extensive knowledge of the key account’s worldwide activities, product portfolio and applications.
  • Represents customer interests towards FUCHS and vice versa.
  • Identifies risks and solves conflicts.
  • Is familiar with FUCHS’ OEM related product portfolio and its applications.
  • Cooperates closely with Product Management to ensure that the customer is fully informed about the products and its technical requirements.
  • Observes international markets and trends.

Travel

  • Approximately 75% travel within the U.S.

 

WHAT WE EXPECT

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in engineering, chemical engineering, or other related field.
  • Technical knowledge of automotive applications required, experience with lubricants/specialty chemicals is a plus.
  • Proven experience in initiating, managing and closing sales processes with OEM/Tier customers (technical specifications, PPAP, etc.)
  • Independent, highly motivated, hard worker with affinity to sales and hunter mentality.
  • Track record of securing new accounts and relating with new customers.
  • Supplementary knowledge in finance, marketing, and management.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ working experience in a similar sales and key account management position.
  • Outstanding consultative selling abilities and interpersonal skills.
  • Decision maker with negotiation skills, willing to work under pressure.
  • Strategic vision and planning.
  • Proactivity and goal-orientation.
  • Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Team spirit and able to work in international teams.
  • Proficiency in use of MS-Office applications and CRM (Salesforce desired).
