Job Overview:

The key holder's primary function is to supervise the store when Store Manager and Assistant Manager are not available. The key holder assists management in ensuring that the store is opened and closed properly, assist cashiers and stockers to see that the store is kept neat and clean, shelves are stocked, and can provide exemplary customer service.

Reports to:

Store Manager

Responsibilities include:

  • Opening store procedures: Open the security gate, unlock the front door, and turn off the alarm system, open safe room and take out cash drawers, access change bank to make change for cashiers.
  • Closing store procedures: Put away the cashier drawers in the safe room at the end of the shift, lock doors, put down security gates, and set the alarm for the night.
  • Have the responsibility to do Voids, Overrides, and Price Match (May not perform refunds)
  • Authorize Breaks and lunches
  • Aid cashiers in decision making when called upon
  • Check backstock to see if product can be stocked to shelves, end caps, islands or displays
  • Stock shelves, face end caps, islands, and displays
  • Help put deliveries away once they have been received
  • Make sure that the employees they are overseeing are following company policies and procedures and communicate any issues with management in a timely manner
  • Make sure closing duties are completed by the cashier and themselves
  • Make sure the store is ready to open for the next day

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 21 years of age or older
  • Be able to obtain a TAM and Health Card
  • Pass Drug Screen and Background Check
