The Partners Group currently has an exciting opportunity for a client-focused employee benefits professional to join our Employee Benefits team in Renton, Washington as a Benefits Account Manager.

How you will make an impact at TPG

In this role, you'll manage a dedicated book of mid-to-large group employee benefits clients, serving as their primary point of contact and ensuring consistent, high-quality service across renewals, compliance, and day-to-day needs. By coordinating marketing efforts, analyzing plan performance, and guiding clients through complex benefits decisions, you'll directly support their ability to offer competitive, compliant programs to their employees. Your work will help strengthen long-term client relationships and contribute to retention, growth, and overall service excellence across the Employee Benefits team.

This role is well suited for someone who enjoys balancing relationship management with behind-the-scenes execution, and takes pride in delivering accurate, timely work in a high-volume environment. Success here comes from being proactive, detail-oriented, and genuinely invested in client outcomes.

A typical day in this role

  • Manage an assigned book of business, serving as the primary contact for client questions related to claims, billing, compliance, and plan changes
  • Coordinate the renewal lifecycle, including gathering data, preparing reports, and supporting the development of client-facing recommendations
  • Partner with internal teams and external carriers to market plans, analyze options, and negotiate terms that align with client goals
  • Prepare materials and lead coordination for client meetings, enrollments, and benefits education sessions
  • Analyze experience reports and plan performance data to support strategic recommendations and ongoing client service
  • Maintain accurate client records and documentation while ensuring work is completed efficiently and in alignment with established workflows

Key details

Title: Benefits Account Manager

Location: Renton, WA (preferred); in-office with hybrid remote opportunities. Also open to Portland, OR, Boise, ID, or other locations for highly qualified individuals.

Hours: 40 hours/week, Mon-Fri

Salary Range: $75,000-85,000 annually (DOE)

Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for long periods of time, ability to communicate verbally and in writing, and ability to handle long periods of screen time.

Travel: Minimal, if any

What you'll bring to the table

  • At least 2-5+ years of experience in employee benefits, insurance brokerage, or account management support
  • Active Life & Health Insurance license
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines within a high-volume workload
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a clear client-service orientation
  • Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and follow-through in managing client deliverables
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
