About our team

The Business Development Key Account Manager supports Booking.com BV’s growth through new relationships with high potential large enterprise clients. They inform new business customers about the services offered by Booking.com. 

Role Overview

As a Business Development Key Account Manager,  you are responsible for supporting Booking.com BV in building partnerships throughout the region prospective partners, as well as driving innovation to ensure growth, finding out-of-the-box solutions and making sure to share knowledge with the global team.

This role requires an individual with a strong background, highly motivated and travel industry knowledge, accompanied with the ability to build relationships to immerse themselves into the dynamics of a fast-paced successful company.

This is a full-time position and will be based in Barcelona, Spain.- This role does not come with relocation assistance.

 Key Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Support Booking.com BV in the research, identification and prioritization of partnership opportunities with websites and mobile platforms focusing on significant business impact and scalability;

  • Consistent proficiency in commercial agreements prospecting and execution aligned with the Booking.com BV strategy;

  • Provide analysis implementation excellence, focusing on significant growth and sustainability, while balancing short-, medium-, and long-term business goals;

  • Monitor, research and report findings on market/vertical development in the regional market;

  • Develop strategic business relationships to help the business grow significantly and consistently (brand, loyalty, revenue), bringing new ideas to the table (technology, market trends, competitive analysis), and presenting pragmatic and practical solutions that deliver ROI (for Guest/Partner and for the business);

  • Contribute to innovation (commercial, product), being proactive in communication and action in order to convey status, deadlines and solutions at risk; helping overall team to adapt and adopt;

  • Lead all aspects of the partnership with all levels of management (C-level included) both externally and internally;

  • Communicate transparently and follow through to ensure task completion, quality execution, balancing optimal product integration and performance

Role Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years relevant work experience in the travel and/or B2B roles in e-commerce, SaaS or business travel environments;

  • Excellent track-record in an international environment;

  • Familiarity EMEA travel markets;

  • Fluent Spanish, German or French highly valued;

  • Solution-oriented and results-driven; executes ruthlessly

  • Strong work ethics, self-directed and resourceful; holds self accountable;

  • Proactive, flexible and capable of working both independently and as part of a team;

  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills;

  • Excellent commercial and analytical skills;

  • Ability to multi-task & flexible attitude;

  • Displaying strong self-reflection & feedback incorporation;

  • Business, marketing or other relevant (academic) degree;

  • Available to travel up to 50% of the time.
