Zions is regularly recognized by American Banker magazine as having a top banking team in its list of "The Most Powerful Women in Banking." Our customers consistently vote us as the best bank in our local markets. We value our employees, and we are committed to search out, recognize and create fulfilling opportunities for outstanding people within our organization, rewarding them for their contributions to our success. We recognize that banking is a "local" business, and that to be successful, we must have very strong ties to the communities we serve and strong relationships with our customers.

With benefits starting on day one, 12 bank holidays, profit sharing and company-matched 401(k) contributions, Zions is dedicated to being an employer of choice in our communities. At Zions, the possibilities are endless. You bring the talent; we bring the opportunity.

We are seeking a Commercial Card Account Manager to join Zions Bancorporation. This role is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of Commercial Card clients across the Bancorp while serving as a trusted advisor and primary relationship contact. The Commercial Card Account Manager proactively engages clients to optimize program performance, increase card spend, strengthen client retention, and identify opportunities to expand product adoption.

The successful candidate will combine strong relationship management, consultative sales, analytical, and project management skills to deliver exceptional client experiences and achieve portfolio growth objectives. This position serves as a key liaison between clients and internal partners, collaborating across Sales, Product, Operations, and Service teams to implement solutions, remove barriers to program utilization, and support client business goals.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to make a measurable impact through strategic account management, client advocacy, and business development.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support a portfolio of Commercial Card clients across the Bancorp, serving as the primary relationship contact for assigned accounts.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with client administrators, program managers, procurement teams, finance leaders, and other key stakeholders.

  • Conduct regular portfolio reviews and business consultations to identify opportunities for program optimization, spend growth, and increased card utilization.

  • Achieve portfolio growth objectives through proactive account management, product expansion, client retention, and strategic recommendations.

  • Analyze client program performance, spending trends, and utilization metrics to identify opportunities and address areas of concern.

  • Develop and implement customized solutions that align with client needs and business objectives.

  • Partner with Sales teams to support prospecting efforts, client renewals, program expansions, and product cross-sell opportunities.

  • Collaborate with internal departments including Operations, Product Management, Implementations, Treasury Management, and Client Service to deliver a seamless client experience.

  • Provide timely, accurate, and effective resolution of moderately complex client issues while exercising sound judgment and maintaining a high level of client satisfaction.

  • Educate clients on Commercial Card products, program enhancements, best practices, and emerging payment solutions.

  • Lead or participate in client business reviews, implementation projects, and strategic initiatives as needed.

  • Monitor portfolio performance and maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, opportunities, and action plans.

  • Represent the organization on projects and initiatives, providing subject matter expertise and leadership when appropriate.

  • Mentor and provide guidance to team members as needed.

  • Maintain a strong understanding of Commercial Card products, industry trends, payment technologies, and bankcard operations.

  • Utilize CRM, reporting, and other software tools to effectively manage client relationships and portfolio activities.

  • Travel to client meetings and internal events as required.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 2+ years of experience in bankcard products and services, client account services support management, or general bankcard operations (a combination of education and experience may meet requirements).

  • Working knowledge of account management and full knowledge of the product line and its applications.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite products.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Effective negotiation, analysis, and judgment skills.
