Position Summary
The Key Account Manager is responsible for developing and managing strategic customer relationships within the U.S. power generation and distribution market. The role focuses on driving sustainable sales growth, identifying new business opportunities, and expanding the company's presence with key customers. As a trusted partner to customers, the Key Account Manager builds strong stakeholder networks, leads commercial discussions, and collaborates closely with headquarters and cross-functional teams to deliver value-added solutions. This position is ideally suited for an entrepreneurial sales professional with strong technical expertise and a passion for building business in a dynamic and growing market.
Key Responsibilities
  • Establish, develop, and maintain relationships at all levels within assigned Key Accounts to create long-term partnerships and achieve commercial growth targets.
  • Develop strategic account plans and identify growth opportunities to maximize sales potential within the assigned customer portfolio.
  • Plan and monitor sales volumes, revenue targets, and market opportunities for Key Accounts.
  • Provide market intelligence and customer insights to support forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning activities.
  • Analyze customer organizations, business needs, and market dynamics to develop a deep understanding of stakeholder structures and decision-making processes.
  • Build and maintain a robust network of contacts within customer organizations, including technical, operational, and executive stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for customized product and service solutions that address customer requirements and support business growth.
  • Prepare and coordinate customer meetings, presentations, and commercial discussions.
  • Lead and facilitate contract and commercial negotiations in close cooperation with headquarters functions based in Austria.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned Key Accounts regarding commercial, contractual, and organizational matters.
  • Monitor and report sales activities, pipeline development, revenue performance, and customer-related metrics.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product Management, Operations, and other internal stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project execution.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the U.S. electrical power generation and distribution sector.
  • Contribute actively to the expansion of the company's market position and support the future development of energy infrastructure solutions.
Qualifications
Education
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline is preferred.
  • Additional business or commercial qualifications are considered an advantage.
Experience
  • Proven experience in technical sales, business development, or key account management within the electrical power industry.
  • Deep understanding of electrical power generation, transmission, and distribution systems, with particular expertise in Instrument Transformers.
  • Extensive knowledge of the U.S. electrical power generation and distribution market, including industry structures, customer landscapes, and market drivers.
  • Demonstrated success in developing new business opportunities and managing strategic customer relationships.

Training Austria
Three weeks locally in Austria.
The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work remotely is $89,900-$134,900 per year. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry and education. Zelisko is a multi-state employer, and this pay scale may not reflect positions that work in other states or locations. Provided they meet all eligibility requirements under the applicable plan documents, employees (and their eligible dependents) will be eligible to enroll in group healthcare plans that offer medical, dental, vision, and basic life and disability insurance. Employees also will be able to enroll in our company's 401k plan. Employees will also receive 120 hours of vacation leave and 40 hours of Personal Paid Absence every year. Employees will also enjoy 12 paid holidays, and 1 floating holiday throughout the calendar year, subject to relevant terms outlined in the employee handbook. 6 weeks of paid parental leave will also be available for use. Requirements for these benefits will be controlled by applicable plan documents and policies. Employees working on federal contracts covered by the Federal Paid Sick Leave requirements will be notified and will receive benefits consistent and compliant with the FPSL requirements. Hired applicant will be able to purchase company stock, subject to the relevant plan documents and annual bonuses based on achievement of certain metrics of up to 15% of annual salary.
